  • Gujarat Hindu Society and Community Centre South Meadow Lane Preston, PR1 8JN United Kingdom (map)

Following the success of the 2020 Festival of North West Thinking we now move forward to the 2021 VSNW Festival of North West Thinking (including VSNW’S AGM). We are happy to announce this will take place in-person, on Tuesday 9th November 10am-4pm at the Gujarat Hindu Society and Community Centre in Preston, Lancashire. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Event Programme:
We are currently in the process of finalising an exciting schedule of events, workshops and keynote speakers for the conference programme, which we look forward to announcing shortly.

The event kicks off at 10am with our welcome and keynote speakers.

There then follows three strands of workshops, exploring issues around Economy, Health and Equalities. These will be led by a variety of leaders in the sector, those with lived experience, drawn from across the UK with a focus on the North West. Our workshop themes are as follows:

  • Economy: Making a case for the VCSE sector in the local economic agenda - what can we pitch for in the NW?

  • Economy: National economic opportunities - Beyond Brexit (Levelling Up & Shared Prosperity Fund)

  • Health: Health System Changes - Where are we up to with health system transformation in the North West?

  • Health: Mortar between the bricks - effective models of VCSE sector working in health neighbourhoods.

  • Equality: How does the VCSE sector work to effectively tackle inequality in the NW?

  • Equality: Devising a strategy for supporting VCSE Equality Organisations in the North West.

Places are limited so please click here to guarantee your place.

We’d be particularly grateful for our members’ attendance for our AGM and you will receive a formal invitation by email.

Given the limited capacity at the venue, we’d like to ask that just one person attends per organisation.
