VCSE North West Networking Meeting #1: Workplace Wellbeing

  • Voluntary Sector North West 20 Swan Street Manchester, England, M4 5JW United Kingdom (map)

VSNW are pleased to commence our VCSE North West Networking Meeting Series with the theme of 'workplace wellbeing'.

Each event in the series will invite two speakers to briefly discuss the chosen topic and pose some discussion points, before attendees enter breakout rooms. This will give organisations an opportunity to network, to share best practices, and discuss issues and solutions.

Mental Health Awareness Week is from the 10th-16th May and follows over a year of unimaginable circumstances which has often strained our mental health. In conjunction, the pandemic has changed the way all of us work, which furthermore has had an impact on workplace mental wellbeing.

As vaccine rollouts are being widely implemented across the UK and the roadmap out of lockdown is unfolding, soon organisations will slowly be returning back to the office. The pandemic has exposed many issues relating to workplace wellbeing, including the importance of a work life balance and a supportive network of colleagues. It is vital that workplace wellbeing is a priority for organisations as we navigate our way out of the pandemic.

We are very excited to welcome two speakers to this event:

Maisie Hulbert, Policy Officer at ACEVO; she is the author of "Workplace Wellbeing in Charities".

Sehrish Qureshi, the Wellbeing Service Manager at Lancashire BME Network.

VSNW hopes this networking event series will give organisations across the North West the opportunity to correspond with others and make connections in light of what has been an isolated year during the pandemic.

Once registered, Zoom joining details will be emailed to you the day prior to the event.
